The Five Element Smoothie
   Chinese Traditional Medicine describes life force as going through five phases, often called the five elements, in our bodies.  To balance the qualities of life force in each of these five elements is a major objective of many oriental healing modalities such as Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Shiatsu and others.  The five smoothie is a living food recipe designed to nourish the body with a maximum amount of life force and at the same time balance the life force of the five elements.  Most people, who try this drink for breakfast for two weeks do not want anything else for breakfast anymore.  It is as delicious as it is healthy, and gives energy and well being like very few other meals do.

   The five elements can be activated and balanced through food because they are each triggered by a specific taste.  For this effect to take place, the taste does not have to be tangible.  It presence in a drink is enough.  The five elements smoothie therefore combines the five taste groups that correspond to the elements and provides a high density of nutrients simultaneously.  The ingredients are: 

Lemon:  The sour taste activates the wood element and the corresponding organs, liver and gallbladder.  Western verbalism also recognized the great cleansing properties of lemons.  They also are a great source of trace elements , alkalizing the body despite their acidic taste, and are the most electrically charged of all fruits.  Good quality lemons should have many seeds; seedless citrus fruits are much lower in life force.

Sweet fruits:  The sweet taste activates the earth element and the corresponding organs, stomach and pancreas.  Different seasonal sweet fruits like pears, peaches, bananas, sweet apples, etc., provide a variety of vitamins and minerals.

Brine:  The salty taste of Krystal Salt brine activates the water element and the corresponding organs, kidney and bladder.  The brine increases the alkalizing effect of the smoothie and the overall quality of life force. To obtain Krystal Salt brine click here

Brine detox information.  The application of one teaspoon of brine has been successfully practice by tens of thousands of people in Europe.  More is not necessarily better.  Small amounts on a daily basis will bring the best results.  Start slowly and find the proper amount for your body.  In very rare cases, such as in a person who takes strong medication, initial detoxifying effects (diarrhea, headaches, abdominal discomfort, rashes and others) can be uncomfortable.  In this case do not use the brine on an empty stomach or in a smoothie but simply use Krystal Salt as a condiment in you kitchen and consult with health care professional with training in holistic medicine.

Flax oil and Blue Green Algae:  These two ingredients provide the bitter taste, which activates the fire element and the corresponding organs, heart and small intestine.  Flax oil is the best source of Omega 3 fatty acids, and essential nutrient which almost 100% of the population is deficient.  Blue green algae is extremely high in life force, neuropeptides, minerals and is the only plant source of DHA and EPA, fatty acids that are essential for healthy brain functioning.  The combination of the flax oil and the amino acids of the algae create an electrical charge known as a pi-electron cloud.  The discoverer of essential fatty acids, Dr. Johanna Budwig, pointed out that pi-electron clouds are the aspect of life force that determines a person's level of health like no other single factor.

Cayenne:  The hot or pungent taste activates the metal element and the corresponding organs, colon and lings.  Cayenne is a very powerful destroyer of parasites in the body and improves circulation.  Just a pinch is enough for the smoothie: it does not have to produce a tangible hot taste for the desired effect.

Here is how you make the smoothie:

Take a whole lemon for a large smoothies (20-24 oz) of half a lemon for a smaller one.  Peel off the thick yellow part of the skin and eliminate the tough fibrous core, leaving some of the white skin and the seeds.  These adds precious oils and antioxidants. Put the lemon in the blender with sweet fruits, for example one pear and two bananas for one lemon.  Experiment and find the ratios you like best.  Add one teaspoon of brine, a pinch of cayenne and of course high quality water such as Trinity water.  Do not use tap water.  Blend to a creamy consistency.  Add one teaspoon of flax oil and blend for a few more seconds.  Consume immediately and take a few tablets or capsules of Klamath Blue Green Algae with it.

Since flax oil is extremely volatile, it is recommend only using it within the first eight weeks of the pressing date, which some companies put on their labels.  Drinks with flax oil should always be consumed immediately and not allowed to sit around.
If you want this smoothie to be maximally beneficial for you , it is strongly recommend the use of organically grown fruits.  Also, it is advise against using other ingredients out of habit.  Some people are used to putting bottled juices or ice into a smoothie, but this will diminish the effect.  If you find the right proportions of the mentioned ingredients, you will probably be surprised how good it tastes.
People with hypoglycemia who are usually advised to stay away from sweet fruits can have this smoothies without problems.  Blending sweet fruits with flax oil slows down the assimilation of the fruit sugar and prevents blood sugar crashes. Enjoy!

How to Make the Brine:

Cover the bottom of a small glass jar with Krystal Rock Crystals.  The cover the crystals with filtered or artesian spring water so that you have three times the amount of water as crystals.  Allow 24 hours for the solution to reach a saturation point of 26% salt content in the water.
